Argonne National Laboratory - INCITE Campaign
Overview
The MIRA supercomputer at Argonne National Laboratory was one of the fastest high-performance computing systems in the world, supporting groundbreaking research from scientists across government, academia, and private industry. The challenge was to celebrate the achievements of current users while encouraging the next generation of researchers to apply for computing time.
I developed a campaign that showcased the scientific discoveries made possible by MIRA through a series of posters, informational handouts, and promotional materials. The visual system centered on a fractured concentric-circle motif, representing the intersection of data, collaboration, and scientific discovery while giving each featured researcher a distinct visual identity.
In addition to individual profile pieces, I designed a large-format showcase poster that brought together the year's most significant research accomplishments into a single, impactful display. The campaign balanced technical credibility with approachable design, making complex scientific work accessible while reinforcing Argonne's leadership in high-performance computing and helping attract future users to the program.
